Calpe · Costa BlancaLiving in Calpe
Calpe lives at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach, the 332-metre rock that anchors every photo of the Costa Blanca. It pairs two long sandy beaches and a promenade that buzzes year-round with a salt lagoon full of flamingos in the middle of town, and its bigger apartment stock keeps rents friendlier than its neighbours.
❄️ Teal months = winter-let season (Oct–May): same sun, half-empty beaches, lower rents. See winter lets →
Why Calpe
A natural park rising straight out of the sea at the end of the beach. The summit hike is a rite of passage, and the flamingo salt flats below it sit right between the town's two beaches.
Arenal-Bol by the old town and La Fossa under the Peñón: both wide, sandy and Blue Flag, joined by a promenade that stays alive in January.
More apartments mean gentler rents than Moraira or Altea, and the TRAM line links Calpe to Benidorm and Alicante, useful if you want coast life without depending on a car.
